Motorsport Recovey Ltd (C C Recovery)
Motorsport recovery is about far more than simply moving a damaged or broken-down vehicle. Every incident presents different challenges, so specialist training is essential to ensure our team can respond quickly, safely and professionally.Although general roadside recovery training, such as IVR, can provide useful core knowledge, much of it doesn’t directly relate to the work we carry out within motorsport.
Recovering a competition car from a circuit, gravel trap or tyre barrier is very different from attending a roadside breakdown, we will rarely have time to cone off our work area or wait for the cars to stop going past.
Our specialist training covers the safe use of recovery vehicles, lifting equipment and telehandlers, along with communication and incident awareness. Our team also undergoes accredited HIAB training to ITSSAR standards, ensuring our operators have the recognised skills and knowledge required to use this equipment safely and competently.
We practise recovering everything from saloon cars and single-seaters to historic and high-performance racing cars—often in difficult locations and under strict time pressures.
Being part of regular Marshall training events allows our operators to refresh their skills, work through realistic motorsport scenarios and build confidence as a team. It also ensures that our equipment is used correctly and everyone understands their role when responding to an incident.
When the circuit goes quiet and the pressure is on, preparation makes all the difference. Our aim is always the same: protect the driver, protect the vehicle and help get the event running again as safely and efficiently as possible.
At Motorsport Recovery, training isn’t simply about ticking a box. It’s about developing skills that are genuinely relevant to the unique demands of motorsport.
